Kwanalu and Agri SA roadshow
Kwanalu, and its Board operates, solely on clear mandates from you, our members, decided on at our annual Congress held in September each year. This membership base includes farmers, farmer and land-owner associations, commodity groups and KZN agri-businesses whose voices, opinions and experiences are crucial to Kwanalu’s role as a leader in organised agriculture in South Africa.
To this end, and with the importance of the role of the farmer at “grass roots level” in mind, theleadership of Kwanalu, together with six leaders from Agri SA, including Dan Kriek (Agri SA President) are embarking on a three-day roadshow across the province, meeting with farmers, members and their families next week (June 3, 4 and 5).
This is an excellent opportunity for farmers to engage directly with the top leadership in agriculture in SA, as well as the chance to discuss concerns and hear first-hand the industry’s strategy in moving agriculture forward.
Speakers at each event include:
- Dan Kriek– Agri SA President
- Christo van der Rheede– Deputy Executive Director at Agri SA
- Annelize Crosby– Legal and Policy Advisor at Agri SA and Head of Land Centre of Excellence.
- Janse Rabie– Head of Natural Resources at Agri SA
- Jahni de Villiers– Head of Labour and Development at Agri SA
- Requier Wait– Head of Economics and Trade at Agri SA
- Andy Buchan– Kwanalu President
- Sandy La Marque– Kwanalu CEO
