Government Notice: Draft regulations-Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer for public comment
Please note that the purpose of this draft regulations is to solicit comments from border stakeholders. These control measures provide for the regulation of PSHB on agricultural crops taking cognisance that the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries is in the process of developing a regulatory framework for the control of PSHB in the forestry sector.
PSHB is already causing a devastating damage to urban trees and forestry sector , however, this pest is not yet reported on agricultural crops.
You are further kindly requested to circulate to other relevant stakeholders who might have been omitted/missed in order to provide inputs/comments.
The due date for comments/inputs: 16 August 2020.
