The first sitting of Kwanalu’s 2018/19 Advisory Council, the representative body of the union’s members, took place yesterday at the Royal Agricultural Show grounds in Pietermaritzburg.
The Advisory Council, consisting of 37 members, brings together representatives from all districts across the province, commodities and other affiliates to ensure the voices of all farmers are heard by providing a platform for iss
ues pertinent to each district to be brought to the attention of the Kwanalu board.
The newly constituted Advisory Council’s focus is on providing industry specific knowledge, agricultural expertise and information pertaining to the aims and objectives of the union. This collated information will assist the Kwanalu board to determine the strategic direction of the organisation.
