- New Regulations released 25 July 2021 – Adjusted Alert level 3
New regulations relating to the national COVID-19 disaster declared on 15 March 2020 extended by numerous gazettes and amended by Gazette no 44895-2021 dated 25 July 2021 now provides for an adjusted alert level 3. The adjusted alert level 3 will apply nationally from 25 July 2021.

Amongst other the latest regulations refer to:
- application of alert level
- notification by district municipalities
- mandatory protocols when in a public place
- compliance officers
- movement of persons
- permit template available on the Kwanalu website
- curfew 22h00 until 04h00 except where a person has been granted a permit (Form 7)
REMINDER – a permit is required to perform a service other than a service related to an activity listed under Table 2
- opening and closure of schools
- initiation practices
- attendance of funerals
- gatherings
- eviction and demolition of places of residence
- rental housing
- places and premises closed to the public
- controlled visits by members of the public
- partial re-opening of borders
- movement of cargo
- public transport
- sale, dispensing or transportation of liquor
- operation of economic sector
