Mid Illovo Farmer’s Association assists local community affected by recent fires
Following the devasting path of destruction caused by fires which swept through the Mid Illovo area in September, members of the Mid Illovo Farmer’s Association distributed food parcels, household and bedding items donated by the local community to farmers’ employees and members of the local Dwengu community, many who lost roofs due to the fierce winds, while others’ homes were burnt to the ground. The farmers also distributed first aid items donated by the Fire Protection Association.
We applaud these farmers, many of who lost thousands of tons of sugarcane in the fires, for thinking of others in need at times like these.
