Proposed amendments to the List of Waste Management Activities

These may affect a range of agricultural activities, including wastewater ponds, composting, organic waste treatment, storage of hazardous and general waste, workshop waste, feedlot and winery waste systems, and other on-farm waste-related infrastructure. Concerning is the broad wording of certain definitions and listed activities, which may unintentionally extend waste management licensing requirements to ordinary farming operations.
