Women and Youth in Rural Entrepreneurship

Kwanalu invites you to a webinar for the launch of their ground-breaking rural entrepreneurship programme WYRE (Women and Youth in Rural Entrepreneurship) which aims to equip women and youth in KZN with tangible tools to sustainably reverse the cycle of poverty in the province. The webinar will link attendees to speakers in discussions relevant to the challenges, opportunities, real-life experiences and education prospects affecting youth and women in the sector. From the webinar, Kwanalu aims to identify and train mentors in KZN to assist in driving the WYRE programme forward.

What is WYRE?

A rural entrepreneurship programme for women and youth in KZN aimed at addressing unemployment in the province by providing tools to uplift survivalist businesses and assist women and youth realize their business goals. The programme will begin with those affected in the July unrest and in the long term aims to mitigate the consequences of COVID-19, the unrest and social disintegration.
