- New Regulations released 29 December 2020 – Adjusted lockdown level 3
New regulations relating to the national COVID-19 disaster declared on 15 March have been released. The new gazette dated 29 December 2020 unpacks regulations regarding an adjusted alert level 3. A media briefing will take place today for further briefing on the COVID-19 restrictions, regulations and enforcement for the adjusted level 3.
In particular the latest regulations refer to:
- application of alert level
- movement of persons (33 (1)(2)(3))
- curfew 21h00 until 06h00 except where a person has been granted a permit
- REMINDER – a permit is required to perform a service other than a service related to an activity listed under Table 2 or 33(1)(b), (2) (3)
- mandatory protocols when in a public place
- attendance of funerals
- gatherings
- eviction and demolition of places of residence
- rental housing
- places and premises closed to the public
- initiation practices
- controlled visits be members of the public
- partial re-opening of borders
- public transport
- sale, dispensing or transportation of liquor
- operation of economic sector
- compliance officers
- offences and penalties
